It's been over 4 weeks since the completion of the frame, and since then, we have been waiting on bricks. We were not expecting too much when we drove to the block today. After all it rained Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, but were hoping that at least some of the bricks may have been started. Nothing. Not a thing. To add insult to injury, the Clarendon house on the corner that started a week after us, and had no bricks last week, now has around 20% of their bricks laid. The house 2 blocks down managed to get the roof tiled this week. With the weather outlook looking pretty bleak for the next week, I think that progress will be stalled for a while yet. I don't mind the wait so much. It's the fact that the frame is sitting out there, exposed to the elements. The floor upstairs, which is made of a sort of compressed chipboard type stuff is saturated. I'm sure it can't be good for it.
Not happy.
