Windows have arrived on site. They look a little greyer in reality than the colour swatch would have implied, but they look good, and should go well with the bricks and other external colours
Picture 4 is the view out of the windows from the front bedroom.
Picture 3 is of the view from the front rumpus room. We have got better water views than I had imagined. When the front balcony is erected, the view of the lake from there should be even better!!
The last picture is the upstairs hallway, looking to the rear of the house into the master bedroom
It looks like all of the framing is now complete. I took a drive out today, and thanks to the open fence, I managed to get a quick look inside. The internal framing is complete, and we now have a really good idea of what the finished space will look like. In all, I am happy with the layout. It looked good on paper, and I was happy to see that it looks as good in reality.
Here are some external shots, and a few internal shots of the main living area. It looks a bit dark at the moment inside, but when the intenal linings are done, I think it will look a lot lighter.
In one short week, the majority of the framing looks to be complete. The Garage still needs to be framed, but things are looking decidedly more "house like". We always knew the frames would go up quickly. Let's hope that the rest of the build progresses as fast as the frames have
Progress. We have frames being erected, and with fine weather predicted until Friday, we should be seeing a large portion of the framing completed by the weeks end.
Also added over the last few days was a security fence. Hopefully it will be unlocked over the weekend so that we can sneak a look inside and get a better assessment of the space that we have.
We took a trip out to the block today to see how things are progressing. This week's progress has seen the frames delivered to site, and some back filling completed around the slab. Nothing too visually exciting, but with 3 sunny days predicted Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday, let's hope that much of the frame will be completed by the weeks end.
Progress!!!!! We have our slab. After a few rainy days, the schedule seems to have slipped slightly. Framing was apparently booked for the 31st March, and no signs of any framing having arrived. Hopefully it should happen early in the week, after the public holiday, and we'll have more progress to report by the weekend. Fingers crossed.
