Turfed

Grass

Grass was layed yesterday. Today we had 41 degrees of heat as the sun tried its best to fry it. We fought back with an army of sprinklers, and it seems to have stood up well, touch wood. It's an amazing transformaion from last week's builder's rubble and dirt.

Landscaping

Our landscaper worked about a 12 hour day today, shifting 39 tonnes of turf underlay ready for laying. The weather is going to be hot hot hot, so Kate's off at bunnings buying another hose to keep it wet. Thank you Sydney water for not having managed it out to our block to fit the water meter yet. Woohoo!

Fencing

Blinds and Fencing

The fence was finished shortly after Christmas and the bagging is drying out before we paint it. We're going with Taubmans Athena, the same colour as our top boards on the house.

The blinds and fly screens have taken a while, but screens went in last week, and the blinds were, well most of them at least,fitted today. We have a few more door screens to go on, and a few more blinds, but hopefully they'll all be finished by early next week.

Still lots to organise with the wooden part of the fencing and the turfing.
